| Description |
English: The "Ostkreuz" on the mountain Butznickel (Taunus, Germany) as seen from behind, with the village Schloßborn in background. The backward inscription on the cross shows the names of the places where the war refugees came from, who let the cross be mounted in the year 1952. The "Waldkapelle" ("wood chapel") can be seen below the cross from behind. It is no longer located in a wood after the deforestations following the dryness of the years 2018/2019.
Deutsch: Das "Ostkreuz" auf dem Butznickel bei Schlossborn, Ansicht von hinten mit Schloßborn im Hintergrund. Die rückwärtige Inschrift zeigt die Namen der Orte, aus denen die Kriegsflüchtlinge kamen, welche das Kreuz 1952 aufstellen ließen. Links unter dem Kreuz die "Waldkapelle" von hinten, welche allerdings nach den Abholzungen aufgrund der trockenen Jahre 2018/2019 nicht mehr im Wald steht. |
