Deutsch: Blick von der Büchelstrasse auf die neuzeitlichen Ruinenreste der ehemaligen Pfarrkirche St. Jakobus in Widnau, Schweizer Kanton St. Gallen. Die originalen Stufen markieren den ehemaligen Zugang zum nördlichen Eingang ins Langhaus. Die Kirche wurde 1999 bis auf die Grundmauern und Reste des Turms und der Chorwand abgerissen und die Parzelle zu einem Ort der Erinnerung und Ruhe gestaltet.
English: View from Büchelstrasse of the modern ruins of the former parish church of St. James in Widnau, Swiss Canton St. Gallen. The original steps mark the former access to the northern entrance into the nave. The church was demolished in 1999 down to the foundation walls and remains of the tower and the choir wall, and the plot was made into a place of remembrance and peace.
Italiano: Vista dalla Büchelstrasse delle rovine moderne dell'antica chiesa parrocchiale di San Giacomo a Widnau, nel Cantone svizzero di San Gallo. I gradini originali segnano l'antico accesso all'entrata settentrionale della navata. La chiesa è stata demolita nel 1999 fino ai muri di fondazione e ai resti della torre e del muro del coro, e il terreno è stato trasformato in un luogo di memoria e tranquillità.
