Since the first witkar station opened in 1974, the environmentally friendly witkar had a hard time in Amsterdam. Inventor Luud Schimmelpennink hopes that with the automation of the registration of the rides the members of the club 'De Witkar' make the project can continue. STATEMENT of Schimmelpennink on the difficult period of the witkar. SHOTS: car show in the RAI in Amsterdam; traffic jam on the highway; double parked cars in the city; witkars are altered in the garage; Schimmelpennink registers himself for a ride with the witkar and drives through the center of Amsterdam; two witkars pass eachother.
