English: The communities of idol-makers are heritage custodians, living in Kumorpara, protecting and reproducing the living heritage of Chandannagar. The existence and identity of clay idol-makers is grounded here in this part of the town, and their many stories and memories are interwoven with the soft (intangible) heritage of the city of Chandannagar.
