Description
English: Nucleation and/or elongation activities are reduced in SA cells and enhanced in SE cells. WT, SA and SE cells were transformed with a plasmid expressing Bik1p-GFP to label both spindle and cytoplasmic MTs, and were analyzed by time-lapse microscopy for 15 min at 10 sec intervals. Compared to WT cells (left), cytoplasmic MTs appearing in 15 min were less numerous in SA cells (middle) and more numerous in SE cells (right). Bar, 3 µm.
