Description
English: Polyp-stolon junction. Movie comprised of serial optical sections of a phallodin stained F-actin (red) and DAPI stained nuclei (blue) through a polyp stolon junction. Early frames are apical. Note the disappearance of longitudinal muscle strands of the polyp and the origin of the axial muscle strands of the stolon from the circular muscle strands of the polyp. Optical depth, number of sections: 6 µm, 12. AX, axial muscle fibers; LM, longitudinal muscle fibers; CM, circular muscle fibers.
