English: Mtss1 localizes to zipper-like structures at cell-cell junctions. Mtss1-GFP expressing Scc9 cells were treated with 2 mM EGTA for 20 minutes to disassemble cell-cell junctions. Cells were washed with complete medium and Mtss1-GFP and F-actin (mCherry-lifeact) imaged over the following hour to visualize the reformation of cell-cell junctions. Mtss1-GFP localizes to cell-cell junctions following the initial cell-cell contact and co-localizes with F-actin. Left panel shows Mtss1-GFP and the right panel shows mCherry-lifeact. Images were acquired every 5 minutes. |
