Summary[edit]

Description
English: Lack of circulation in cloche-/- mutants. Real time movie of control fish and cloche-/- fish at 3 dpf (1 dpi). The movie shows a control fish with a beating heart and with visible circulating blood cells. The second part of the movie illustrates a cloche-/- fish with a beating heart. No circulation is observable in the mutant fish; the third part of the movie is a higher magnification of a control fish in the area of the blood islands and tail, showing cells circulating in the vasculature e.g. caudal vein, dorsal aorta and intersegmental vessels. The last part of the movie shows a higher magnification of a cloche-/- fish in the same area of the blood islands as the control. In contrast to the control zebrafish, the cloche-/- fish does not possess a functional vascular system and shows no sign of circulation.
