English: Map of the World by Augustae Vindelicor [Augsburg] and Matthaeus Seutter. Diversi globi terr-aqvei statione variante et visu intercedente, per coluros tropicorum, per ambos polos et particul. sphaerae zenith in planum delineati orthographici prospectus; quibus additae, pro mutatione horizontis differentes sphaerae positiones earumque. Mutua cum circ. coeslestib. convenientia et relatio. Scale [ca. 1:95,000,000] (W 180°--E 180°/N 90°--S 90°). Notes: Relief shown pictorially.

California shown as a labeled island with an indented northern coast. Nova Albion, Sevo and Gigante labeled on the island. Also visible as an island on inset maps. Title statement in two decorative cartouches, one above each hemisphere. Upper right, outside border: "Cum Gratia et Privil. S. R. I. Vicariatg in partibg Rheni Svevice et Juris Franconici." Explorers routes shown including Magellan, Dampier, Gaetani, Tasman, and S. Antoine. The route of S. Antoine in 1710 is the latest date shown. Twelve circular insets show the world from various aspects, etc. Human figures, shown blowing the winds, surround the hemispheres. Similar to Carl Allard's map published in 1696 and entitled: Planisphaerium Terrestre, Sive Terrarum Orbis ... Auctore Carolo Allard.
