English: Class Lm 588 was designed by Martin Atock for the Midland Great Western Railway of Ireland in 1895. While some class members were built at Broadstone works this example was built by Sharp Stewart and was originally MGWR 134 'Vulcan'. This locomotive was withdrawn in 1963 and is seen here approaching the turntable at Athlone. |
