Die Mutter von Antoine schickte ihre beiden Söhne Antoine und François in diese Schule, weil sie ihre Söhne vor dem Dienst in der französischen Armee schützen wollte.

English: Among the names engraved is that of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who attended the École de la Villa Saint-Jean in Fribourg from 1915 to 1917. This school had a good reputation among France's elite. Antoine's mother sent her two sons Antoine and François to this school because she wanted to protect her sons from serving in the French army.
Object history Das Monument befand sich ursprünglich in der Eingangshalle der Kapelle des Kollegiums Villa Saint-Jean in Fribourg. Nachem die von Marianisten geführte Schule 1962 geschlossen und bald mit der dazugehörigen Kapelle abgebrochen wurde, verlegte man das Denkmal in das französische Areal auf dem Friedhof Saint-Léonard der Gemeinde Freiburg, Schweiz .
