English: Principle of a simplified refracting telescope with convergent ocular:
the parallel light beam from the point B (at the infinite) are concentrated in the focal plane of a convergent lens L1, the objective; this gives a magnified image B′; this image is in the focal plane of a convergence lens L2, the occular, so the image is at the "infinite" (it is more confortable for the eye, modeled here by a convergent lens); the yellow area show the beam of light that goes from the point B to the eye, the green lines show how to build the images Français : Principe d'une lunette astronomique simplifiée à oculaire convergent : le faisceau parallèle issu du point B, à l'infini, est concentré dans le plan focal d'une lentille convergente L1, l'objectif ; cela donne une image agrandie B′ ; cette image est dans le plan focal d'une lentille convergente L2, l'occulaire, afin que l'image se forme « à l'infini » (ce qui est plus confortable pour l'œil, modélisé ici par une lentille convergente) ; la surface jaune montre le faisceau lumineux qui va du point B au fond de l'œil, les traits verts sont les traits de construction permettant de déterminer l'image |
