Nature education trail, station 5, about local fauna of the Danube east (Pest side) branch: The gravel beds here are popular places for waterfowl. Migratory birds, such as the Danka Gull (Chroicocephalus ridibundus or Larus ridibundus), can be found here in large numbers in spring and autumn. You can meet all year round: steppe gull (Larus cachinnans). From May to September, the only shorebird (Limicola) on the island can be seen, the Wagtail (Actitis hypoleucos). From October to March, the storm gull (Larus canus) can be seen. In winter, the Arctic diver (Gavia arctica) nests in lakes in the taiga belt, the northern diver (Gavia stellata), polar duck (Clangula hyemalis), black duck (Melanitta nigra), smoky duck (Melanitta fusca) are seen on the east coast of the island a couple of times a year. - Mallard duck (Anas platyrhynchos) is the most common waterfowl on the island, but duck (Aythya ferina), bunted duck (Aythya fuligula) and kercer duck (Bucephala clangula) can also be seen. Rarely, small buck (Mergellus albellus), voracious buck (Mergus serrator) and large buck (Mergus merganser) may also appear. The Danube section around the island - North part of the Hajógyári Island or Óbuda Island, Óbudaisziget neighbourhood, 3rd district of Budapest.

Óbudai-sziget északi rész. - Taösvény 5. állomás a Duna főágának állatvilága (Festmények: Pethő Csilla, Szöveget,fotókat ellenörizte: Gadó György, Bajor Lampert Rita és Bajor Zoltán. Közremüködött: MME Magyar Madártani és Természetvédelmi Egyesület, Castor Bau Épszer, Miró Grafikai Stúdió): Duna főág=Pesti oldal ága ill Nagy ág. Az itteni 'sóderpadok' a vízimadarak kedvelt helyei. Vándormadarak pl. a dankasirály (Chroicocephalus ridibundus vagy Larus ridibundus) tavasszal ősszel nagy számban fordulnak itt elő. Egész évben talalkozhatunk: sztyeppi sirály (Larus cachinnans). Májustól szeptemberig látható az egyetlen partimadár (Limicola) a szigeten a billegetőcankó (Actitis hypoleucos). Oktober és március között látható a viharsirály (Larus canus). Télen a Sarki búvár (Gavia arctica) a tajgaöv tavainak fészkelőjét, az északi búvárt (Gavia stellata), jegesréce (Clangula hyemalis), fekete réce (Melanitta nigra), füstös réce (Melanitta fusca) a sziget keleti partján évente néhányszor látni. - Tőkés réce/vadkacsa (Anas platyrhynchos) a szigeten a leggyakoribb vízimadár, de barátréce (Aythya ferina), kontyos réce (Aythya fuligula) kerceréce (Bucephala clangula) is láthatók. Ritkán kis bukó (Mergellus albellus), örvös bukó (Mergus serrator) és nagy bukó (Mergus merganser) is feltünhetnek. A sziget körüli Dunaszakasz kagylófaunájának jelentős része a vándorkagyló (Dreissena polymorpha) állomány. A védett eurázsiai vagy európai vagy közönséges hódokkal (Castor fiber) a szigeten ritkán találkozni de rágásnyoma rendszeresen előfordul. - Budapest, III. kerület, Óbudaisziget városrész
