DescriptionLajos Kossuth von Györgyi Lantos, 2021 Csongrád.jpg	English: Batsányi high school. Built to boy school in Art Nouveau style in 1913 and 1914. Listed also part of a listed building complex. Military hospital between 1914 and 1917, Since 1920 high school too. Since 1948 only high school. L-shaped building. In 1989 extended with a new wing this is the so-called blue wing. In 2020: 405 students, 17 classes, 32 classrooms. Arts: Outside: 1848–49 Revolution glass-steel plaque by Sándor Dudás (1999); Painted, glazed, ceramic CoA of Hungary with angels relief; Lajos Kossuth by Györgyi Lantos (1993 bronze relief and separate bronze plaque); INSIDE: János Batsányi by István Máté (1989 bronze bust) - 1 Kossuth Square, 1 Andrássy Gyula Street, Apponyi Albert Street, Csongrád, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary. Magyar: Csongrádi Batsányi János Gimnázium és Kollégium egykori Polgári fiúiskola. Szecessziós, 1913-1914-ben épült. Tervezte Ybl Lajos. 1914–17 között katonai kórháznak használták. 1920 novemberétől itt kapott helyet a polgári iskola mellett a gimnázium is. 1948-tól csak gimnázium. majdani Batsányi János Gimnázium és Szakközépiskola L alakú épület. Az ereszpárkányt színes festésű faragott fakonzolok tartják. A tetőszerkezet favázas, magas, tagolt, sok különböző nagyságú kiugró tetőablakkal, magas kéményekkel. 1989-ben új épületszárnyat építettek a főépület mellé az ún. Kék szárnyat. Az iskolához tartozik még a Szent György utca sarkán álló B épület: a földszintes sarokházat lakásból alakították át iskolai célra.
