Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Cell growth and proliferation of ME-180 cells upon colonization with L. rhamnosus. ME-180 cells, grown and maintained in 35 mm poly-D-lysine-coated glass-bottom dishes were challenged with lactobacilli for 16 hours of incubation. At the start of the assay, cells were washed once and then transferred to a live-cell incubator that was connected to an inverted microscope (Cell Observer, Carl Zeiss). The cells were maintained at 37°C in 5% CO2 throughout the microscopy process. DIC images were captured every 10 minutes. The image sequences were further processed into a movie by ImageJ software.
