The introductory section of the "Remarks on New Creations" article by Gerard Krefft in ''The Sydney Mail''.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: The introductory section of the "Remarks on New Creations" article by Gerard Krefft in The Sydney Mail of Saturday, 5 July 1873 Template:Em-dash an article in which he addresses the fact that "Many persons", in Australia, in 1873, continue to support the (to Krefft's satisfaction disproven) notion of the immutability of species; namely, that they "believe that all living things on this earth were created just as we find them at the present day, and that after the first general act of the Almighty special creations ceased".
