Description
English:
Three storey corner building. Planned by Ignác Knabe. Built to/Invested by Károly Lederer. Built to a two storey building in 1873-1874, extended with third storey after 1961. The building, called Strausz's corner house in the 1870s, was owned by the Festetics family for a long time. It was mostly inhabited by craftsmen and merchants, but there were also grocery playwrights, horse salesmen and artists. It housed an architectural office and a felt factory office "buying cow hair and calf hair at the highest price", and later a box factory was established here, which by the way proved to have survived two fires. The house also has something to do with a roll of film found in an attic and a 30s sci-fi. The entrance to the cellar opens from the courtyard, where 부다페스트 한인은혜교회 (Korean Church of Mercy in Budapest) is located. - 1 II. Kétemeletes sarok lakóépületnek épült középen kapuátjáróval zárt udvarral. Harmadik emelet bővítés a Fővárosi Tanács Városrendezési Osztály által 1961-ben adott engedélye alapján történt. 1873 előtt üres telek és környéke volt a lóvásártér, parasztvásártér, sertésvásártér volt 1860-as évektől Újvásártér. 1870-es években kezdték beépíteni a területet. 1907-ben 3 gyár 20 üzem 54 üzlet volt a téren. 1890-ben a házban Tervező: Knabe Ignác. Építtető: Lederer Károly Építés éve: 1873-1874. Itt volt a Strausz féle építési (építész?) iroda. - Az 1875-ben Strausz-féle sarokháznak nevezett épület gróf Festetics Dénes tulajdona lett. - Kezdetben téren tartott vásárra érkezett, nagyrészt iparosok és kereskedők lakták, de élt itt zsibárus, színműíró, lóügynök és artista is. Építésziroda és “tehénszőrt és borjúszőrt legmagasabb áron felvásárló” nemezgyári iroda működött benne, később dobozgyár is létesült itt, ami nem mellesleg bizonyítottan túlélt két tűzesetet. Itt volt Leutweyler? Ferenc papírnagykereskedés és papírüzem. 1920-as évektől 1944-ig itt volt a Beck-féle kávégyár (csomagoló?). Tisza Kálmán Kávéház később Guttman Sándor Kávéház. 1936 körül itt volt Berkovits Nándor rádió dobozüzem. Dávid Károly és fia doboz? és faanyag Rt. telepe volt, a cég főtelepe Mészáros út 58-ban (Déli p.u. közelében). Friedlander Sándor bútorraktára. 1914-ben tábori kórház volt az épület előtt, ekkor Dalszínház Kávézó és Hambach? kereskedés volt a földszinten. A háznak köze van egy padláson talált filmtekercshez és egy 30-as évekbeli sci-fihez is. - Az udvarból nyillik a pince bejárata ahol 부다페스트 한인은혜교회 (Koreai Kegyelmes egyház? Budapesten) található.
