Summary[edit]

Description
English: Vocalist: Smt Aparna Sundararaman

Aparna was initiated into Carnatic music by her mother Smt. Malini (a disciple of Dr. S. Ramanathan) and her father Shri. Sundararaman at a young age. She was then taken under the wings of Sangeeta Kala Acharya Smt. Kalyani Sharma at the age of 12. Under her guidance, Aparna received the Govt. of India scholarship for Music and won several competitions held by prestigious sabhas in India. Currently Aparna continues to learn from Kalyani mami’s senior disciple Smt Hemamalini Srinivasan and Sangeeta Kala Acharya Smt. Suguna Varadachary. Aparna aspires to uphold Carnatic music in its most traditional form as it has been passed on to her by her Gurus. While a banker by the day, Carnatic is Aparna’s passion.
