A example of a audio compressed in the HE-AAC codec.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: This is a example of a audio compressed in the HE-AAC codec, no I'm not kidding. IT'S IN THE HE-AAC CODEC!!! Originally compressed to M4A with Nero AAC codec 1.5.4.0 (settings: -q 0.20). The format is ~11.2 kbps, 22 kHz, mono. Converted to MKV with FFmpeg and using my own skills of hex editing, I was able to modify the header to a WEBM one, resulting in a WEBM file with the HE-AAC codec. Note that some software will not support that special type of files
. Also DO NOT DOWNLOAD the transcoded versions, IT'S ONLY TRANSCODED FROM THE COMPRESSED HE-AAC SOURCE WHICH THE ORIGINAL SOURCE IS 22 kHz, NOT 44 kHz. You will NOT HEAR a difference.
