[edit]DescriptionGróf Grassalkovich I. Antal Kastély (Oracsek Ignác), 2017 Hatvan.jpg |
English: : Grassalkovich Mansion, now Hunting Museum. - 24 Kossuth Square, Hatvan, Heves County, Hungary. Magyar: : Grassalkovich-kastély, azonosító 5735 (törzsszám 2123), Egyemeletes, alápincézett, U alaprajzú épület, melyhez a szárnyépületek külső sarkainál kétfelől, L alakban földszintes sarokpavilonnal záródó gazdasági szárnyak csatlakoznak. A főhomlokzaton a Grassalkovich család címerével díszített oromzat. A főszárny és a K-i mellékszárny előzménye a gr. Stahremberg Gundacker Tamás földesúr által, a 18. század elején építtetett hatalmas vendégfogadó. Ezt építtette át 1754-1763 között gr. Grassalkovich I. Antal (építész: Oracsek Ignác), a kapukeret és erkély (építész: Mayerhoffer András). Az emeletes mellékszárnyak az 1760-as években épültek (építész: Jung József). A copf-stílusba hajló késő barokk műemlékkastélyt az építtető gróf 1746-ban kétszázezer forintért vásárolta meg a hatvani uradalmat Stahrenberg Gundaccer Tamástól, melyre királyi adománylevelet is szerzett. A hatvani vár romjaiból 1754-ben kezdte el építtetni a jelenlegi kastélyt. A középső részt Orascher Ignác, a két szárnyát 1763-ban Jung József építészek tervezték. A 32 szobás kastélyt a Grassalkovich család kihalása után, 1867-ben egy belga banktól vette meg Deutsch Ignác, akinek Sándor nevű fia hozatta helyre a földszintjén magtárnak használt épületet. A család vendégeként sok neves személy járt a kastélyban: Ady Endre, Bajor Gizi, Bródy Sándor, Czóbel Béla, Csók István, Hunyadi Sándor, József Attila, Lesznai Anna, Stróbl Zsigmond, sőt Thomas Mann is, aki a hatvani látogatásáról említést tesz a magyarul is kiadott naplójában.
