Description
English: Nazi troops captured in blazing Aachen.
An infantryman of the First U.S. Army (left) escorts five German prisoners along a street of blazing Aachen, Reich border city where the Nazi garrison refused to surrender. During the first 13 days of their assault against Aachen, American soldiers captured approximately 9,000 Nazis.
