Description
English: Fishing Boats in a Fresh Breeze

A small Dutch fishing vessel, in port-quarter view and flying the Dutch flag, sails in a fresh breeze in the foreground of the painting, with three men aboard. To the left in the middle distance is another similar craft and to the right is a man in a small rowing boat. The church tower of a port can be seen in the distance between the two largest boats. The boat to the left flies the Double Prince flag of the Amsterdam Admiralty.
