Summary[edit]

Description Filling a blasting cap with HMTD or TATP simulant. The video shows a plastic funnel, buried cavity, blast mittigation device inert powder filled bucket covered with multiple sheets of paper and cotton wrapped rod with pre-bent paper and powder. The person is wearing full body protection, including double layered kevlar gloves, kevlar sleeves and face mask with ear plugs. Always keep at least 10 cm of distance between your fingers and any primary explosive. The minimal safe distance between 1 - 2 g of HMTD (or TATP) and fingers is 10 cm. The upper 10 - 20 cm of the cavity are filled with cotton wool as to create space for safe touching (touch the upper end - only). Do not congest the funnel - only small additions (10 - 20 mg) per single stroke are allowed. Check the funnel with flashlight if needed. Use 100 - 200 mg per single A4 or A3 paper stack - that is use 10 paper stacks if you want to end up with a blasting cap filled with 1 - 2 g of TATP or HMTD.
