Summary[edit]

Description
English: Truncated failure tests for a given duration t.
  • Top: scale method: starting with a stress level S0; at each step the stress level is increased by a step p if the sample does not fail after t, and is decreased by p if it fails before t.
  • Bottom: iterative method: possibly several samples are tested at the same stress level at the same time; the step is adjusted with the rate of samples that fail after t.

  • Haut : méthode de l'escalier ; on commence à un niveau de contrainte S0 ; à chaque étape, la contrainte est augmentée du pas p si l'échantillon ne présente pas de défaillanc eua bout du temps t ; il est diminué de p si la défaillance survient avant t.
  • Bas : méthode itérative : on peut soumettre plusieurs échantillons à la même contrainte en même temps ; le pas est ajusté en fonction du taux de défaillance à t.
