Description
Svenska: Sign. “MARTINUS. WEILER ISLEBIENSIS ME FECIT ANNO 1.5.90”. (Eisleben, stad i Preussen).
Mater, tabula, rete, diopterlinjal och visare. Maters dorsum delad i fyra kvadrater, de två nedre kvadraterna delade i två oktanter. Graderad 0-90-0-90 (-0?) från Linea Horizontalis. På mittfältets övre del medaljong med vapensköld och kantskrift:
“IOCHEMVS x HERTZBERCH x LVBELENSIS x INX SPE x ET x FORTUNA”.
Diopterlinjal med ursprungligen två fällbara dioptrar - numera en. Dioptern har ett hål. På linjalens ena hälft ristat zodiaktecken. Linjalens ändar slutar i en lätt karnissvängd profilering. Skruv med lågt, välvt huvud.
Mater s facies har urholkat, försilvrat mittparti, vari ligger en tabula av försilvrad mässing. Tabula graverad på båda sidor. Sidorna märkta överst 57 G: resp. 60 G samt en öppen, treflikig krona (57 grader resp. 60 grader latitud). På sida 57 g: är graverat en sterografiskt projektion av jordklotet från ekvatorn. På tympanon en rete av förgylld mässing. Visare av försilvrad mässing. På visaren angivet nordlig och sydlig avvikelse. Visaren fastsatt vid diooterlinjalens skruv med fyrsidig mutter. På mater s limbus timangivelser 2 gånger I-XIII, 60 min. mellan varje timangivelse = ekvatorial-solur.
Upphängningsring i vridbar ögla.
Till astrolabiet hör ett kvadratisk fodral av ek med utskärningar för diopterlinjal, visare och upphägningsring. Dessutom utskärning för rektangulärt föremål 22x10x6 mm samt för spetsigt föremål 43 mm 1,6 mmb, 4 mm dj. Uppbrutet hål mitt på fodralets undersida. Två raka mässingsbeslag på två sidor. På överdelen har beslagen hakar, vilka hakas i öglor på undersidan.
