| Description |
Deutsch: Die hängende Klangskulptur im Kirchpark der Sophienkirche in Berlin Mitte, unter der die Passant*innen eingeladen sind einem Klarinetten-Duett für zwei Nachtigallen, zwei Amseln und eine Taube zu lauschen, erkundet unser Verhältnis zu Natur. Vögel sind in der Musikgeschichte immer wieder Inspiration gewesen; eine Anregung für diese Arbeit ist Olivier Messiaens Cata- logue des oiseaux. Auch diese Komposition für Klarinette orientiert sich zunächst an echten Vogelstimmen, ebenso basiert die Form der Skulptur auf der Amplitude der jeweiligen Vogel- stimmenphrasen.
Die mehrfachen Übersetzungen bilden schließlich die Partitur für die Klangskulptur und tragen dazu bei, das Zusammenspiel unserer akustischen und visuellen Wahrnehmung zu verändern. Die Arbeit macht darüber hinaus aufmerksam auf das, was man nicht (mehr) hört, und rückt das Verhältnis von Stille und Klang in den Mittelpunkt. Sie schafft räumlich wie akustisch einen Zwischenraum. Die Installation fand von Juni bis September im Kirchpark der Sophienkirche in Berlin statt. |
