First edition of these directions for the Sisterhood of Perpetual Adoration, recently established by Joseph Helg as part of a new generation of religious communities in ‘New St. Gallen’, several miles from the buildings of the famous Benedictine, mostly male community. The convent for the Sisterhood was officially established only in 1760, and the present work would have served the mere 60 Sisters associated with it. A rare example of female religious activity at St. Gallen
