Description
Deutsch: Umwandlung eines Einphasensystems zu einem leistungsmässig identen symmetrischen Dreiphasensystem.

a.) Speisung mit einphasigen Wechselstrom i eines ohmschen Widerstandes mit Wert R.
b.) Widerstand wird in drei Widerstände mit Wert von je 3R aufgespalten. Pro Widerstand 1/3 der Leistung, Gesamtlesitung bleibt in Relation zu a. ident. Durch die einzelnen drei Leitungen fliesst nur 1/3 des Stromes womit der Leiterquerschnitt sinkt. Die Summe der Leiterquerschnitte ist mit a. noch ident.

c.) Die drei Ströme i1, i2 und i3 werden zueinander um je 120° (2π/3) phasenverschoben. Damit ist die Summe der drei Ströme 0 und die gemeinsame „Retourleitung“ (Neutralleiter) kann entfallen. Gesamtleistung ident wie unter a. aber nur mit in Summe halben nötigen Leiterquerschnitt bei den Zuleitungen.
