Eerste na-oorlogse zitting Internationale Hof van Justitie; Het Internationale Hof van Justitie komt - voor de eerste zitting na de Tweede Wereldoorlog - bijeen in het Vredespaleis te Den Haag. Behandeld wordt een geschil tussen Groot-Brittannië en Albanië. Dit is ontstaan doordat op 22 oktober 1946 twee Britse kruisers in het Kanaal van Corfu op mijnen liepen en zonken. De Engelse regering stelt Albanië verantwoordelijk en eist schadevergoeding. SHOTS: - ext. en int. Vredespaleis; - int. rechtszaal: rechters komen binnen en/of gaan weg terwijl alle aanwezigen gaan staan; - medium shots van de hoofdpersonen tijdens de zitting: president Gerechtshof J.S. Gustavo Guerrero; Engelse raadsman Sir Hartley Shawcross; Albanese raadsman Khareman Ylli, afgewisseld met shots van andere rechters en aanwezigen.;
