The above are Ship’d in good order by Canal Boat Fair Chance of Jordan Capt Squires at 4 1/2 cts pr ton Per mile at the time of shipping the above there was no Boat going through the Lake that they could be forwarded directly to yourPlace. Yours in haste E.M. Walker & Co Troy June 7th 1824”
