| Description |
English: The competent larva of Phoronopsis harmeri. This time-lapse movie shows the typical behavior of competent larvae before settlement. The larva used a piece of the tube of an adult P. harmeri as a substratum for metamorphosis. In the movie, the piece of the tube is the white stone to the left. The larval hood always moves and touches the piece of tube. At this moment, the hood elongates along midline, and then the larva begins to metamorphose. |
