Statue of Lajos Kossuth de Udvard et Kossuthfalva by János Horvay (1907 bronze statue) Inscription on its base: ~"From the initiative of the industrial youth of Körmend / Installed by the patriotic audience of the town and countryside of Körmend 1907". The monument stood in place until 1964. At that time it was dismembered and erected on the side of the Heiszig House (on Rákóczi Street) facing the Korona Hotel. Note: here, in 2023, a monument to the national flag will stand. It was soon relocated and reerected in front of the Art Nouveau building of the municipal court (note: in 2023, the District Court). At the monument exteded with a slab/memorial wall titled as '1848/49 commemorating the soldiers of the War of Independence in Körmend' - Szabadság Square, Körmend, Vas County, Hungary.

Kossuth Lajos emlékmű (Horvay János, 1907 bronz szobor) A kormányzót szokásos pózban látjuk, magyaros, zsinóros atillában, feszes nadrágban, szétterülő 'szélben lobogó' köpönyegben. Tekintete előre nyújtott jobbját követi. Balja kitámasztott kardján pihen. A talapzatán: "A körmendi iparos ifjúság kezdeményezéséből/Emelte Körmend város és vidéke hazafias közönsége 1907." felirat olvasható. A Kossuth-szobrot eredetileg a Szabadság téren, a színház/máshol Körmendi Kulturális Központ/2023-ban 'Batthyány Örökségközpont' /máshol: Batthyány Örökségközpont és Színház Galéria/[1] előtt állították fel. Az emlékmű 1964-ig állt helyén. Akkor szétdarabolták s a Heiszig-ház (Rákóczi utca) Korona szálló felőli oldalán állították fel. Itt 2023-ban egy országzászló emlékmű áll. Hamarosan újra áthelyezték, s a városi bíróság (2023-ban Járási Bíróság) szecessziós épülete előtt állították fel újra. A Kossuth-szobor korábbi Szabadság téri helyére Szovjet hősi emlékmű /máshol: Felszabadulási emlékmű/ került (Elbontás 2006, Avatás 1985., Katona Zsuzsa, 2007-ben újra felállították a Rendvédelmi Technikum /Alkotmány utca 5/ előtti parkban)[2]. Kossuth emlékmű részeként egy két kőkockára helyezett fehér emlék-kő-falat állítottatk fel fekete felirata: Az 1848/49-es a szabadságharc körmendi honvédeinek emlékére: Gabler Ferenc vezérkari főhadnagy/ Hódosi Ferenc hadnagy 7 hv.z./ Horváth Károly hadnagy 45 hv.z./Magassy Antal százados 44 hv.z.,/Szabó Sándor kapitány 8. huszárezred/..2., 6., 7, 44-45. honvéd zászlóalj (névsor) - 'Része 'A Batthyány-kastélyegyüttes és a római katolikus templom kibővített műemléki környezete' épületegyüttesnek.
