DescriptionDendritic-Slow-Dynamics-Enables-Localized-Cortical-Activity-to-Switch-between-Mobile-and-Immobile-pone.0024007.s006.ogv |
English: Switching of a bump mode from immobile to mobile in the noisy condition. In the noisy background condition, transient strong excitatory input along a horizontal line the center of the bump ( ms) followed by the continuing short-term strong excitatory input along a horizontal line adjacent to the previously simulated line ( ms) induces the bump to switch from immobile to mobile mode. The bump movement is restricted to the linear strip for the best illustration of the phenomenon. For more detail, see main text and the caption of Figure 6B. |
