English: LIBI_00268_07945; A 6 5/8" x 4 1/2" image mounted on a 10” 7x 3/4" card. This image depicts The Curley mounted on horseback. He is dressed in warrior garb of breech cloth and moccasins. He is holding a firearm and appears to have a quiver or bag over his shoulder. He is using a western stock saddle as part of his tack. In the background are two tipis. The image was taken on the Crow Reservation ca. 1898. Photograph A handwritten note on the lower margin reads: "’Curly’ Custer's Only Survivor." The image was taken by Fred E. Miller circa 1898. It is in good condition.
