Crystalization of Copper Sulfate under a microscope

Summary[edit]

Description
English: This video shows the crystallization of copper sulfate under 4X magnification under a microscope. The solution of water and copper sulfate was heated to a high temperature over a stove, so that more solute can be dissolved. The mixture was saturated, and immediately dropped onto a slide. The slide was observed for approximately five minutes. During that time, especially in the first two minutes, the crystal is clearly growing in size. This video was taken with a 4X objective lens on a microscope with a USB camera. The video was taken at five seconds per frame. No other adjustments were made.
