Description
English: Taken from the Himawari-8 satellite, this natural color image of the eastern hemisphere of the Earth during night was taken on December 14, 2021 at 15:14 (UTC). This image shows the Earth being lit up like a crescent. The little slither of daylight is where the South Pole is located, where at the time when this image was taken was experiencing 24 hour daylight.
