| Description |
English: Covesea Lighthouse. The lighthouse sits on a rocky outcrop about halfway along the west beach near Lossiemouth. Designed by Alan Stevenson, erected in 1846, and automated in 1984, this light house marks the Covesea Skerries,a group of small islands and rocks. Three lighthouses were erected in that year around the Firth, because of a storm in 1826 which sank 16 ships. http://www.oddquine.co.uk/album/lighthouse.html |
