Español: El Calhau da Lapa es un lugar poco conocido y de gran belleza entre Ribeira Brava y Cabo Girão. Una semana después de mi visita, el acceso al público fue cerrado debido a la inestabilidad del acantilado. Poco después, algunos desprendimientos causaron daños de consideración en el lugar y el espacio fue expropiado al completo.
Al parecer, una de las causas de la inestabilidad fue el empleo de martillos neumáticos para ampliar las casas-cueva. En el momento de escribir esto, no hay ninguna previsión acerca de su reapertura o de los usos que los antiguos propietarios puedan dar a las que fueron sus propiedades.
