Español: El extremo oriental de Madeira es un mundo aparte. A diferencia del resto de la isla, elevada y verde, el área de la Ponta de São Lourenço es baja y seca, recordando a algunas de las Islas Canarias, como Lanzarote o Fuerteventura.
Pero a pesar de ello es una zona de gran belleza y que se puede recorrer por una ruta de senderismo muy agradable hasta Ponta do Furado.
