Description

Ernest R. Ball was an esteemed singer and songwriter whose most famous work was "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling". Julius Lenzberg was a noted musician, musical director and composer whose most famous work was "Hungarian Rag". So it's not surprising that when they collaborated to write a rag that the results were excellent. This rag was published by M. Witmark in New York and Chicago in 1914.

Original score source was Baylor University Frances G. Spencer Collection of American Sheet Music at this link: https://digitalcollections-baylor.quartexcollections.com/Documents/Detail/colonial-rag-novelty-one-step/2217934 This is a reproduction of the original score. At measure 22 I removed the flat from the Cs so it matches measure 54.

Thank you to Mitchy for suggesting this excellent rag.
