Summary[edit]

Description We made it to Choum. It wasn't much of a place to speak of. A small village. The station was nearby and we could see the rail tracks. We rested in what was called the waiting room. It seemed to be the living room of a family. We were offered tea and rested up. The train was late and there wasn't much to do during the day - I wish I'd brought a book. Instead I spent the time talking to locals and other travellers who were very interested in us. Especially me given my ability to speak Arabic and French. This photo is of the waiting room. The railtracks are in the distance.
