English: LIBI_00019_00399; This item is an original albumen cabinet card (card-mounted photograph) of Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce in full seated view. The photograph is 4 1/4 x 6 1/2" mounted and was produced circa 1890 by H. M. Rice. The image was probably taken at Fort Spokane, Washington. On the front, a typed notation in green ink reads, "H. M. Rice, Photographer." On the verso, a notation in black ink reads, "Joseph."
