| Description |
English: Castell Rhyfel. The iron age hill fort of Castell Rhyfel 519547 is located on the knoll at the centre. The fort overlooks Dyffryn Groes and the coastal plain to the west. The south side of the fort has rock strata (the grey line stretching from the top towards the camera) sticking out at an angle hostile to potential invaders, which have been likened to natural chevaux-des-Frises.
