Español: En el año 1912 en Madrid (España) se fundó una sociedad para fabricar placas fotográficas. La etiqueta de la tapa de esta caja da muchos datos: "FÁBRICA DE PLACAS SECAS FOTOGÁFICAS AL IODO-BROMURO DE PLATA. G. WELTER Y CIA. SenC [Sociedad en Comandita]. MARCA DE FÁBRICA. MADRID. Huertas 54. Tamaño de las placas 13 x 18. EXTRA RÁPIDAS. PRESÉRVESE DE LA LUZ Y DE LA HUMEDAD. LIT. J. BERMEJO. CABESTREROS, 4 MADRID". Paralelamente, en la revista Madrid científico, 1912, n.º 748, página 22, leemos: "G. Welter y Compañía, S. en C. - D. Lucas Martín Díaz, D. Federico Díaz González, D.ª Catalina Hernán Alvarez, D. Salvador García Dacaracte y don Gastón Welter Schoppé, constituyen sociedad en Madrid, cuyo objeto es la fabricación y venta de placas secas fotográficas y demás anejo á este negocio ó industria con arreglo á los planos y trabajos realizados por el Sr. Welter. El capital social es 400.000 pesetas." ///// Pieza original conservada en la Fototeca del Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España. Archivo Ruiz Vernacci, época Lacoste (1900-1915). En la Fototeca del IPCE se conservan miles de cajas de cartón con etiquetas de antiguos fabricantes de material fotográfico. Son cajas en las que se vendían placas y papeles fotográficos sensibilizados. En su mayoría corresponden a embalajes de placas de vidrio, del procedimiento al gelatino-bromuro de plata.
