The item consists of a list of Allard's specimen no. 1300-14343 collected in the course of his work in the Dominican Republic in 1945. Localities matching specimen no. ranges are indicated on the inside the front and back covers and include U.S. Embassy, Piedra Blanca, Banao, Duarte Highway, Ciudad Trujillo (now known as Santo Domingo), and a location described as "Howard F. Allard's home ,one mile north of center of city [ of Ciudad Truillo]". Dated specimen entries include locality, scientific name,and notes regarding growing conditions
