Summary[edit]

Description
English: Blue Bell Hotel, Belford The Blue Bell Hotel dates from the early 18th century, when it was a coaching inn. A number of stables and coach houses can still be seen to the south and west of the hotel. The A1 used to pass through the village but a bypass was built in the 1980's and the village is now much quieter. Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor stayed here when Burton was filming Beckett on the sands at Bamburgh.
