Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta mass ascension

| Description |
English: About a hundred hot air balloons float through the air during a "mass ascension" event. You can see that the balloons closer to the ground are going from the right to the left across the frame and the balloons higher in the sky are going from the left to the right. Wind is going different directions at different heights and the balloonists take advantage of this to take off and land at near the same spot. I was at North Domingo Baca Park along with a bunch of other people, it is a popular spot to watch the balloons from. It also has a hill (actually a water retention dam) so your view isn't blocked by buildings. |
