Description
Nederlands: Op 25 februari 2009 maakte een Boeing 737-800 van Turkish Airlines een vlucht (TK1951) van de luchthaven Istanbul Atatürk in Turkije naar de luchthaven Schiphol. Omdat het een 'lijnvlucht onder supervisie' betrof, bestond de cockpitbemanning uit drie personen: de gezagvoerder, die tevens de rol van instructeur vervulde, de eerste officier, die ervaring moest opdoen op de vliegroute en daarom onder supervisie stond, en een veiligheidspiloot die een waarnemersrol vervulde. Daarnaast waren aan boord vier cabinebemanningsleden en 128 passagiers. Tijdens de nadering voor baan 18 rechts (18R) stortte het vliegtuig neer in een akker op een afstand van circa 1,5 kilometer van het begin van de baan. Hierbij kwamen vier bemanningsleden en vijf passagiers om het leven en raakten drie bemanningsleden en 117 passagiers gewond. Meer informatie over het onderzoek
