Description
Cymraeg: Teml yn Angkor, Cambodia, yw Angkor Wat. Cofrestwryd y deml anferthol hon gan UNESCO yn 1992, ond sut oedd y lle'n edrych cannoedd o flynyddoedd yn ol?

Cyn iddi ddadfeilio, arferai'r Kmer reoli'r ardal o'r flwyddyn 900 hyd at 1500. Da ni'n son am ardal o tua 400 CAN cilometr sgwar. Roedd y ddinas yn byrlymu o fywyd ac roedd yddi boblogaeth o sawl mil.

Dim ond y deml ei hun a adeiladwyd o garreg. Trigai'r dinasyddion - a'r brenin a'i deulu - mewn tai pren. A dyna pam mai dim ond y deml sydd wedi goroesi, ac sydd i'w gweld heddiw.

Ystyrir Angkor yn ddinas lle chwaraeai dwr ran bwysig iawn gyda system gymhleth o gamlesi a chronfeydd dwr yn gweu drwy'r ddinas.
English: The impressive temple ruins of Angkor are located in Cambodia. The huge complex has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992. What was it like here many hundreds of years ago?
