Summary[edit]

Description
English: Severe temperatures pose direct and significant risks to public health.

From October 2021 to March 2022, 987 daily alerts were issued for extreme heat during the warm period. These warnings were relayed both to national health and civil defence agencies and broadly disseminated to the public via various channels. The Servicio Meteorológico Nacional -Argentina- is responsible for announcing these weather warnings, while the Ministerio de Salud de la Nación provides related health care advice.

The 2023 State of Climate Services report draws a significant link between #EarlyWarningsForAll and #HealthForAll. This nexus is crucial as we see concerted progress in both the climate and health sectors towards the #GlobalGoals.
